A long drive today to Yanchep National Park. An easy drive with little traffic on the freeway. Peter was driving which was good as being a senior we got into the park for $5 instead of $11.
The weather was great, a little bit crisp, but still very pleasant. We first of all did the 4.5km circuit that took us past the Crystal Cave and Cabaret Cave. We had a brief stop to look at the koalas and then were plenty of kangaroos jumping around, very tame, and not at all concerned about our presence.
After the first walk we did a shorter walk a little over 2.5 km around the lake. It was now time for breakfast and we enjoyed our brunch in Rosie's Cafe overlooking Yanchep Lagoon, a very beautiful outlook.
Our next walk should be along lake JOONDALUP, not as far as this week.
