November 3rd 2012 Saturday Cottesloe Beach

I rode over to Peter's place this morning, about a 20 minute ride. The weather is warm enough to enjoy the ride. It was great to have Peter back on the walk trail.

Cottesloe Beach was some what blowy this morning but it wasn't cold at all. The walk was a little over 6km, we walked from Grant Street to the Vlamming Memorial, the first recorded European landing on the local coast in 1697.

There was plenty of other people walking along the ocean front, predominantly young women. It would have been nice to walk on the beach sand, a warmer day and we probably would have done this. One interesting thing we saw on our walk was a marker on the footpath indicating we had passed over the 32deg south longtitude line.

We had breakfast at a nice eatery next the more well known Blue Duck. We sat inside as it was too windy outside.

Next week our walk is further south at Woodman Point.
